Clairvoyance or just a lucky guess? (new FAQs)

A couple of months back I posted this. With today's new Dark Angel and Black Templar updated FAQs I am proven right (to a certain extent at least). These two new FAQs seem to arrive out of the blue (along with the needed Dark Eldar FAQ) more than two years after the transition from 4th to 5th edition. This shows again how Games Workshop has drastically changed it's ethos about updating it's various armies. They used to be very reluctant and sometimes it took ages before an update. Nowadays it seems much more flexible and I am glad for that. But enough with my gloating! Let's look at something I found interesting:

Q. When a unit with the And They Shall Know no Fear
special rule regroups do they get to immediately move up
to 3" as well as moving as normal that turn? (p51)
A. Yes.

So this means that a Marine squad can actually move more if it fails a Morale Check! Okay, this would only happen if they roll double "1"s for their fall back move but it's still fun to know and has other implications as well. Time to check that new Dark Eldar FAQ now!

  1. Let's hope it heralds a new approach, and general changes will now set off a cascade of official updates.

  2. That's what I am hoping for too Mr. (orky) Porky. I wonder if they will update Necrons as well. I know, their new codex will be out within the year (probably) but they gave Orcs a major update even if the army book is coming out very soon. So who knows, seems to be completery random at this point.
