Did You Know?

Did you know that Marbo of the imperial guard codex was based on the character of John Rambo that was portrayed by Sylvestre Stalone int he movies "Rambo".

If you look carefully you will see that Marbo, is an anagram of Rambo!

  4. My first thought would be "Thank you Mr. Captain Obvious Alex" but then against there might be some people (maybe young enough to don't care about Rambo?) that might not know this.

One of the things I realised very recently about Rambo is that the character was based on a series of novels.

  6. Sorry Jon Taylor, your comment went directly to spam for some reason but I fixed that.

That makes Mr.T's comment redundant :P

  7. Oh dear! Sorry Mr Taylor. Well here is another 'just like Rambo' for you:

In the 'Sly Mambo' days of Marbo it was said he had been captured by Dark Eldar and tortured until he managed to escape. Wasn't Rambo captured and tortured in Vietnam?

At time of posting, nobody has said this. Here's hoping I've added something new.

  8. Interesting tidbit of info there Mr.T, I honestly didn't know that. Does that make Dark Eldar Asians? Interesting!

  9. I can't honestly say how long ago it was. Dark Eldar were new, with their big heads and tiny bodies. Ah nostalgia! Makes me feel old. lol :))
