Greek 2012 ETC 40K team report

When I read the reports from Eirini (40K ETC team coach) and Yiannis (Captain) I immediately knew that I had to post them on my blog. It's becoming sort of a tradition anyway, with Leonidas posting his extensive battle reports last year. Check their ETC experience in their own words after the jump. Enjoy!

In The Spotlight: Stillfrosty

Welcome to a new segment of this blog. In The Spotlight will be taking experienced, veteran, ambitious, under glorified and over glorified people and putting them under the microscopic glass. Will they be broken under the pressure of popularity or be reborn as a phoenix, lets find out!

Greek ETC 40K team second day

I was just informed by Leonidas on the phone that Greece finished on the 24th place. That's dead last if you haven't already figured it out. Germany won first place followed by Poland and US finished on the third spot. What I said yesterday still stands. It really doesn't matter how we did this time. I think that it's better to participate in something and don't do well than not participate at all. This was Greece's first time on the 40K ETC anyway. Still, everyone in the team seems to had a blast and Leonidas sounded very excited. I would like to congratulate the Greek team for making it on the ETC despite everything else and I am sure next year it will be even better. Excpet extensive battle reports from Leonidas when he gets back!

Small update from the Greek 40K ETC team

I just hanged up the phone with Leonidas who is currently in Switzerland, competing with the Greek Team for the 40K European Team Championship. Apparently they haven't done very well today, losing from the US, the Welsh and Norwegian Teams. He lost 3 games against Space Marines and Grey Knights but I am pretty sure he is going to do a full report of the event when he gets back so I am not going to elaborate more over here. So, news on the competitive side are not that good but that doesn't matter at all. It's important that Greece sent a 40K team for the first time in ETC regardless of their results. I want to wish them good luck for tomorrow and I can't wait to hear their stories when they come back.
