With the tournaments going wild worldwide, we should not be surprised that Greece, has too been creeping up in the player base of wargaming. Where as several years ago you might of have never heard of Genocide Chronicles or the ICT, now its a decently common referance among fellow Greek wargamers.

What Does Your Army Say About You?
I was walking to my local net cafe today , thinking about the short story of Dark Angels i read in the Imperial Armor 5 book, siege of Vraks. When it struck me that, the army that i play and love (Dark Angels) actualy in a way represents me. So i found some time to make a compilation of what each army may say about its owner, from a fluff point of view!

Did You Know?
That the Dark Angel Space Marine Chapter, has a selected pool of names, that gets recycled as new Brothers join their ranks. Ezekiel, Gabriel, Belial and Naaman are just some of the famous names you may have heard!
In other words, no new name ever enters the rosters of the Dark Angels, that way they can remain loyal to the neames of the heroic brothers who lived during the time of the Heresy!

Games Corps Battle Report 2/2
So, i believe that we had left off our story at the part where the glorious Deathwing had purged the filthy dark eldar from the Cthonic Sector. Our Next story takes us to a little piece of intelligence that showed us that the Ultramarines had recently assaulted a chaos held world near the eastern fringes, and as a result had captured an old warrior clad in black who spewed heresies about the noble Dark Angels. The Ultramarines had called for the inquisitions aid. But when the Ravenwing arrived to reason with the sons of Guilliman, they opened fire on the second company of the Dark Angels, wounding Sammael and wiping out 3 squads as well as 12 Land Speeders. This was not to be taken lightly by Belial, who immediately departed upon his battle barge "Sword Of Caliban" to the east.
So lets get tactical!

Troops: A talk of Bikes

A long awaited sequel has finally arrived!
Today we will be discussing the 3 bike troops choices available (imperials of course).

The 3 Codexes that have the ability to field bike troop armies are as follows:
-The Dark Angels, The First Legion, The Sons of the Lion
-The White Scars, The Hunters of the Wicked, The Riders of the Hunt
-The Space Wolves, The Wolves of Fenris, Children of Russ
So lets start by looking at the stat line:

HQ: A Talk of Bikes and Jetbikes

On todays roster we have bikes, bikes and maybe some jetbikes...oh, who am i kidding?
Currently there are only 3 imperial codexes that allow bikes to be used as troops, these would be the Dark Angels, Space Wolves and Space Marines. As this article is about the HQ's we wont go into the actual bike squads and what they may take and how to use them nor will we discuss Logan as he is an HQ that may make bike riding units into troops, but he himself does not ride one, we will instead compare good ol'e Sammy boy and the Mongol.

Game Corps. 2000 Point Tournament Report
Another week passes , and we find ourselves reflecting the battles that we expirienced in the past few days. Personaly i have to say that my weekend was filled with battles of warhammer 40k against tough and intelligent opponents.
On Sunday 4th, i attended a 2000 point tournament, where 12 players participated. I would call it local, but i would be lying as the players that attended came from far and wide to hone their skills of strategy and perception. These players are not newcomes to the competitive scene in Greece, as many of them have attended a great many other tournaments that are considered as "national".
So enough blabberjabber from this humble servant of the Emperor, with the battle report!

3 x 10 Tactical Marines, MM, MG, Sergeant (Combi-Flamer, Meltabombs), Rhino
2 x 2 Landspeeders, MM, HF

Now I think I am ready for something different.

Landspeeder and a couple of Buggies, WIP pics
I feel much better today. In fact I was feeling well enough to take some pictures. So this is what I've done this far with the Landspeeder. Not much you might say but I have been ill thank you very much! I think I shouldn't have glued the bumper in the front and the top wing thingy because they make the model harder to paint. Since I undercoated the vehicle with a light primer I will have to repaint them black. If they were unglued I could just spray them black separately.

Salamanders Colour Scheme, Landspeeder
I couldn't be bother painting any of my Guard model these last few days. I decided to give the Landspeeder a go and see how it is put together. I was really surprised of how simple the kit was. I'd expect more flimsy parts. So it took me an evening to glue it together and that is quite fast for my standards. I didn't glue the gun in the bottom and the vehicle crew because I thought they would be easier to paint separately.

Space Marines pet project
A few people raised their eyebrows when I told them that I want to start a Space Marine army. I have been avoiding them like the plague for so many years after all. So what happened and I changed my mind like that?Well, I've been enjoying playing with my orks and lately with my Imperial Guard but there is a small problem with these two armies. They are both massive in size. Packing everything up, moving them around, deploying them on the table and playing can be daunting to a lazy guy like me. So I needed a more compact force, something I could just have ready all the time and just pick up for a quick game.
