Bad Journalism
Edit: If you scroll down to the bottom of the page I have included a full English translation of the text for all you Greek challenged out there. I think the article somewhat lost it's very sarcastic tone over the translation but that's not a big deal I guess.
Initially, I didn't know how to feel, seeing my face printed in a huge two page spread photograph in one very famous Sunday edition Greek newspaper ("Καθημερινή K magazine" issue 443 printed on 27/11/2011) . Since I was with my gaming buddies at the time when I saw this, everybody was making jest and japes at how I got another shot to fame.

After reading the article however I wish I wasn't even near that place when they were taking the pictures. I guess I could be angry at the fact that they took my mug shot without me even knowing (doesn't help that I kinda look like a drooling idiot) but that's not the point. I am mad because the article presents Warhammer 40K and gamers in general in the worst way possible.

iWin
My wife just stopped me jumping around after 30 minutes of doing so. Some nonsense about "ruining the wooden floor" or something. But why was I so happy to begin with. Well check this out. Yep, that's right, I won a big, fat GW Gift Certificate courtesy of Mr. HOTPanda from the Chaos Manifesto Blog. Yipee!!!
This month has been really good for me 40K wise. My models where featured in GW's website and I did pretty well in tournaments (came second twice in two tournaments I attended and won some prizes, I will do battle reports soon, I promise). But this must be the highlight! I never won something like that and that makes me even more excited. I would like to thank Mr. HOTPanda again for his generosity. I guess it's good karma since I watched Kung Fu Panda 2 the other day and really liked it and also expressed my desire to play as a Monk Pandaren. Woohoo!!!

Past Tournaments Review, Part One
First post for December! Christmas is getting closer and this feels me with joy for reasons unkown. Hope you like the picture on the left. It's me circa 1983. And yes we didn't have colour picture back then, thank you very much. I posted it here as hard evidence to prove that I invented LARPing. It is also relevant to the topic since I am going to take a trip down memory lane again.
I was wondering the other day if I could remember the tournament games I played in the past. I had some success in recent competitions but how did I fare when I was still a 40K noob? I posted a fairly brief description of my hobby experience here before but I want to be more specific and try to recall the tournaments of yore. I tried to find a database with past GT results around the Internet but to no avail. I don't think anything like that exists so I have to recall everything from memory. Please bear with me.

Story of my hobby experience.
I am not sure how many people checking this blog would be interested in knowing how I started the hobby and how it evolved for me through the years. I'll do this anyways just in case anyone is wondering.
1993 was a year that would change my life. Czechoslovakia was split into Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, Prince changed his name to that weird symbol, Jurassic Park hit the theatres but most importantly (at least for me) I purchased my first White Dwarf. I still got the bloody thing, torn and battered sitting on my comfy couch in the following pic:
