More Flesh Hounds Painted

Keeping up with the Daemon craze, here is another five Flesh Hounds I finished. Pretty similar to the ones I painted last week since they are from the same unit and I wanted to keep the colour scheme consistent.

The main difference with the previous ones is that I used Vallejo Liquid Gold instead of painting with Chainmail and then doing a variety of filters and glazes. Liquid Gold can be a bit hard to work with if you are not used to it but it's really a time saver. Really good coverage that speeds up the whole painting process by a lot. GW's gold paints used to suck but I noticed that they now have gold in their "Base" range. If this has the properties of the old Foundation paints maybe I should give it a go. Anyone has any experience with that?

Anyway, here are the five doggies. Let me know what you think and thanks for reading.

  1. I really like the winter bases here. It offers a nice contrast that makes the figures stand out.

    1. Hey, cheers. The grey bases were a bit dull and dark so I wanted something bright to brighten them up. I am also thinking of adding a coat of gloss varnish over the "snow" for a more realistic effect.

    1. Yes, alive and kicking actually but thank you for your concern.

I've actually painted some more models and I've attended a couple of tournaments but not much time or energy to write articles. I should though, when I get my passion back one of these days.
